International Women’s Day
Al-Faisal College was honoured to welcome seven accomplished women as part of the College’s International Women’s Day celebration held on Wednesday 29 April 2026. Each guest speaker shared her personal journey, reflecting on the challenges faced throughout her life and career, the resilience required to overcome obstacles, and the determination needed to achieve success. The presentations explored their educational journeys and key milestones, family life and influences, current professional roles and achievements, future aspirations, and words of advice and encouragement for the young women of Al-Faisal College. The event was a significant opportunity for students to engage with strong female role models and leaders who continue to positively contribute to the wider Australian community. Guest speakers included:
- Mrs Nadia Berro Saleh, former Deputy Mayor and Councillor of Canterbury Bankstown Council
- Ms Dunya Hasan, Engineer and Founder of BrailleGPT
- Ms Samiha Najem, Transport Engineer
- Ms Massilia Aili, Channel 9 News Reporter and Journalist
- Dr Mahsheed Ansari, Academic Lecturer at Charles Sturt University
- Ms Erin Dib, High School Japanese Teacher, Community Volunteer and leader, Minister Jihad Dib’s wife
- Ms Haneen Zreika, AFL sportstar and inspirational leader
