Governor of NSW afternoon tea for Muslim Women

Mrs Safia Khan Hassanein, Executive Principal was honoured to attend an afternoon tea hosted by Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, at Government House on Monday 20 April 2026 for Muslim women’s organisations and community leaders. The event brought together women from across diverse communities to share their experiences, discuss their work, and foster greater connection and understanding. The afternoon provided a valuable opportunity to listen to and hear directly from women making significant contributions across education, community development, leadership, and advocacy. The event highlighted the importance of recognising and celebrating the role of women within the broader NSW community and was an inspiring opportunity to reflect on the powerful stories, resilience, and achievements shared throughout the gathering.
